BIG NEWS
BIG NEWS
So, there is a big change going on in my life that I wanted to share with y’all. This week, my husband and I are moving my 80 year old Mother from Buffalo NY, into our home here in North Carolina. (Yes, my husband may look like a big, long haired, tattooed, grouchy ass, biker…however, he really is a Saint for not only OK’ing this whole thing but encouraging it.)
One of the reasons I wanted to share this with you is that there may be some lapses in posting for the next week or so. When there has been a lapse in the past, y’all have been so kind to message me to make sure that everything was alright. I didn’t want anyone to fret if for some reason the Pledge Of Allegiance post was missing on our social media sites.
The second reason is, I am thinking adding a section here on Two Southern Sweeties, that would give y’all some insight into our escapades, adventures as well as some of our trials and tribulations. My Mom is a complete riot who keeps my laughing almost constantly. The stories of her life could easily fill a book and be a best seller. (She has always wanted to write all of these experiences down, but unfortunately, her arthritis is too bad at this point to be able to do so.)To this end, I would really like to know if any of y’all would be interested in reading about this?
I also wanted to get all y’alls thoughts and advice for helping to make this transition as pleasant as possible. My Mom and I haven’t lived together since I was about 17 and are both rather…hmm…let’s just say “strong willed”. I’m sure some of you have either gone through the situation of bring a parent to live with you or are a parent that has gone to live with your child. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Well that’s the big news!!! I’m so excited and can’t wait!!
