If y’all follow us on Facebook you know that I have been very interested in the Instant Pot . Well, I finally decided to see what all the hype was about and purchased one.

Let me tell ya, Instant Pot ROCKS!!

I will be giving a review of the Instant Pot in the upcoming days, however, I just couldn’t stand it any longer. I had to get out some recipes to use with it. I’m pretty sure that I’m going to need an entire category just for Instant Pot recipes. (Yes, there really are that many and this really is that great!)

Ok, on to the Instant Pot Apple Pie Steel Cut Oatmeal !

If y’all are like me, I’m always trying to be healthier. Eating is a huge thing when it comes to being healthy, however as much as I love to cook, I usually like things that are quick, simple and flavorful. This recipe fulfills all of those requirements. This is like having Apple Pie for breakfast! It is a pot full of creamy goodness.

Oh, did I mention that it only cooks for 3 minutes? Uh huh, QUICK! Not like the usual half hour or so to cook steel cut oats.

There are so many ways to vary this recipe with different fruits and nuts…. Peaches & Pecans, Pineapple & Macadamia Nuts, Berries and Almonds, the combinations are only restricted by your imagination. If you don’t like nuts, don’t put them in. They are not necessary but I happen to think the crunch adds a little something and I know that nuts are very healthy.

Something I want to let you know about cooking this and other steel cut oat recipes in the Instant Pot, after the pressure releases and you open the pot, it will look a little “soupy”. Don’t worry about this! Stir it all up and add the remainder of the ingredients, it will be perfect!.

I hope y’all enjoy and remember, keep an eye out for more recipes for the Instant Pot as well as the review!
