Soft frozen bread dough filled with pepperoni and mozzarella string cheese, brushed with egg, seasoned with Parmesan and Italian herbs, and baked until golden.
6mozzarella string cheese stickscut into thirds (use 16 pieces)

1teaspoonItalian seasoning
1/2teaspoongarlic powder
15ouncespizza saucewarmed for serving
Instructions
Thaw the frozen bread dough completely according to the package directions.
Preheat the oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a rimmed baking sheet or 9 x 13-inch pan.
Divide the thawed loaf into 16 equal pieces. Flatten each piece into a 3- to 4-inch circle, keeping the center slightly thicker than the edges.
Place one pepperoni slice, one-third of a mozzarella string cheese stick, and a second pepperoni slice in the center of each dough circle.
Pull the dough edges around the filling and pinch firmly to seal. Place seam-side down on the prepared pan.
Brush each roll with beaten egg. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.
Bake for about 22 minutes, checking around 20 minutes, until the rolls are golden brown and the dough is fully baked around the seams.
Rest for 5 minutes. Serve warm with pizza sauce for dipping.
Notes
The dough goes directly into the oven after filling. No second rise is needed for this tested version.A small amount of cheese may leak out.
